Club Awards

Award Categories and Descriptions
Member Development Award (Both) This is an award for clubs that more that serve the needs of its members through speakers, workshops, retreats, conferences, and other acts of dedication. In your nomination please state the purpose of our organization and its activities that added to personal or organizational development. Club Council Leadership Award (Both) This prestigious award is designed to recognize an outstanding member within your organization for all of his/her individual hard work. In your nomination describe how this member has made a difference in your organization throughout the past year, and explain exactly how this person stands out among other members. Presidential Award (Both) This award is designed to recognize a responsible and successful president. The recipient of this award can be nominated by the organizationâs faculty advisor, any active member, or by the president him/herself. In the nomination please describe the success achieved by the organization during the current term of the president, and explain how the president affected or caused these successes. Community Service Award (Both) This award is for clubs that have contributed time, support, or money on a local, national, or global level in the attempt to better our world. In your nomination please include explanations of projects, who benefited from the service, and the number of hours volunteered. Please include letters of recommendation from the recipient(s) of service. Community Builders Award (Both) This is for clubs that have contributed to the building of a safe, nurturing, educational, respectful, community at ASU. Explain activities, programs, or speakers, presented to our campus by your organization, or describe how your club participated in campus activates aimed at making ASU a better place. Best All-Around Organization (Both) This award has been developed to recognize the organization that has fulfilled the criteria necessary to win a number of the award categories. In your nomination, list and describe the outstanding features of your organization, and explain how it stands out among other clubs at ASU. Best New Organization (Non) This award is for clubs that have tackled the challenge of creating a constitution, gathering members, and starting a new tradition at ASU. In your nomination please include activities accomplished since the start of the organization. To be eligible for this award, our club must have become a registered organization for the first time during the 2003-2004 academic year. Faculty Advisor Award (Non) This award is a wonderful way to recognize the contributions your advisor makes to your clubâs success. In your recommendation please list the activities of your advisor in your organization and describe the assistance provided by your advisor. Most Creative Fundraising Award (Non) If your organization did something clever or different from the ordinary raffle or T-shirt sale to raise money for the organization or philanthropies, then this award is for your organization. In your nomination present and explain the creative scheme to raise money and describe the results. Most Improved Club Award (Non) This award is for clubs who have made positive changes in organization, purpose, and membership. In the nomination, please give a brief explanation of the situation before changes were made, what and how changes were made, and the results of these changes. (Both): This indicates that both university funded and non-funded organizations may apply for the award (Non): This indicates that only organizations eligible for funding from Club Councils may apply for the award.
